Vocantas is pleased to announce its latest 5.8 Automated Shift Filling release, offering integration enhancements for Dayforce and UKG Pro Workforce Management solutions. Our innovation team didn’t stop there; Vocantas now offers extended API functionality, delivering even more flexibility and configurability to partners. 

Enhanced Dayforce Integration

We’re pleased to be able to offer a fully enhanced integration between Vocantas and Dayforce (formerly known as Ceridian). This seamless integration allows our Dayforce customers to retrieve open shifts from Dayforce to send out to eligible staff and award shifts in Vocantas while simultaneously updating and assigning the shift in Dayforce. Although Vocantas has long supported manual shift adding, our latest integration update streamlines the process by presenting the Dayforce schedule’s open shifts in our portal, ready to add and launch by schedulers.

Distribution Lists Page Preview and Multiple Sort

The latest version of Automated Shift Filling allows customers to create call lists using dynamic employee data. They can then preview the generated call list to ensure that the correct employees are included. In this release, distribution lists can now be sorted using multiple options, such as by seniority followed by hours worked. This ensures that staff are appropriately prioritized when the Vocantas system recommends an employee to be awarded a shift.

UKG Pro Workforce Management Automated Shift Launch

Automated shift launching from UKG Pro WFM is now possible using the Shift Finder feature. When enabled, Shift Finder can be configured in the Staffing System settings. Each staffing system can be configured to handle one Shift Finder scenario with configured rules to determine what shifts should be automatically added, launched, and awarded. With this release, our UKG Pro WFM customers can let Shift Finder do the work of filling shifts without a single click and without even opening the Vocantas portal! Shifts awarded using Auto Award will simultaneously assign the shifts in UKG Pro WFM. Schedulers can watch their open shifts disappear while taking care of more complex scheduling issues.

New Vocantas APIs

Vocantas has expanded the list of available APIs to support partner integrations. We are listening closely to our API users to ensure that we are providing the flexibility and configurability our partners need to build comprehensive integrations into Vocantas. API Get Callout Details and API Close Callout have been added to allow integrated systems to retrieve information from Automated Shift Filling and to close the callout when aborting the callout is not sufficient.
