Nortel and Avaya Veteran, Robert  Fryer, Joins Vocantas

Ottawa,  Ontario - Vocantas, developer of Interactive Voice Response Solutions for healthcare, higher education and utilities, is pleased to announce that Robert Fryer has joined its team as Director of Product Development in a newly created role.

Bringing 20 years of successful management and product development experience to the team, Robert will be focusing his efforts on improving Vocantas’ time to market, through development of right-first-time products for its  customers. Robert has a consistent  track record of success and leadership in the telecommunications and enterprise software development fields.  He has demonstrated proven success in managing cross-functional and multi-site teams at Fortune 500 organizations including Avaya and Nortel.

Robert has managed teams with direct responsibility for developing large-scale SIP and VOIP based Unified communications and overseen  the integration of varied management applications to provide a single solution. Robert is responsible for the development and deployment of Vocantas’ IVR solutions to the market. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
