Management Team

Gary T. Hannah

President and CEO

Under Gary Hannah’s leadership, Vocantas has matured from a concept to a profitable IVR organization. Active in the field of computers and service for more than 27 years, Hannah has specialized in high technology, telecommunications, financial and manufacturing business solutions. His successes range from establishing unique marketing and distribution strategies to resolving a number of strategic planning issues, coupled with extensive channel experience.

Prior to founding Vocantas, Hannah was President and CEO of Internet start-up ThinWEB Technologies. In this role, Hannah laid the framework in sales and marketing to enable ThinWEB to pursue an IPO in the U.S. He was also a member of the board for ThinWEB and NoTime Wireless. Before joining ThinWEB, Hannah was vice president at JetForm Corporation (now Adobe) in marketing, sales and services, where he was responsible for the Global Partner Program that included OEMs, VARs and distributors worldwide, client relations and channel sales.

Prior to ThinWeb, Hannah was president and founder of Alliance Network Inc., a North American computer services and distribution company. Prior to Alliance Network, Hannah was Director and General Manager of Crowntek Business Centers (CBCI), where he was part of the executive management team.

In addition to many years of general management experience, Hannah has been the lead executive on two mergers, JetForm-Delrina and GE Capital-CBCI. A recipient of the Ottawa Business Journals’ 2002 Forty under 40, Hannah is past vice president of the environment for the Lac Sinclair Lake Association.

Hannah is a former member of the Almonte General Hospital Board of Directors, and serves on the Nomination and Governance Committee. He is also currently chair of the Ottawa Center for Research and Innovation (OCRI) CEO Search Committee. Hannah is the past chairman of OCRI and past chair of Ottawa Global Marketing (OGM).

 

Sally Boucher

CFO

Sally is a Certified General Accountant with more than 20 years of varied financial, operational and business development experience, working with small and medium sized enterprises, both private and public.

For the past 10 years her focus has been working with early stage companies, working as an integral member of the management team providing strategic financial management and reporting. Her previous roles included Controller, VP Finance, and CFO for several businesses in various industries, with emphasis in the high growth technology sector.

She is a past member of the Board of Governors of CGA Ontario where she played an active role in promoting professional standards. Sally is well known for her professionalism, commitment to excellence, and plays an active role in community affairs.

An Ottawa Business Journal 40 under 40 award winner, Sally also recently received an Ontario Distinguished Service Award from the Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario.


Keri Fraser

Director Marketing

Keri Fraser is Director of Marketing at Vocantas.  In this role Keri is responsible for all aspects of the company’s marketing function, including; creating interest, demand and recognition for Vocantas IVR solutions and its IVR products through both strategic and tactical marketing programs.

Keri brings over 15 years of marketing and communications experience to Vocantas along with a proven track record delivering successful marketing programs at both private and public companies including; JetForm (now Adobe), Telecom Ottawa (now Atria Networks), and Tundra Semiconductor (now IDT).   During Keri’s tenure at Telecom Ottawa the company achieved 100% penetration of its target market, the Ottawa MUSH sector (Municipalities, Utilities, Schools and Hospitals).  Prior to joining Vocantas, Keri was Director of Corporate Communications at Gennum Corporation — a global leader of analog mixed signal semiconductor devices. Keri is a member of the COPD Canada Patient Network Board of Directors.

Keri holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University.


Denis Solodovnikov

Senior Application Architect

Denis Solodovnikov joined the Vocantas team in July 2005, bringing extensive telephony application development and professional services experience.  Denis previously worked for Pronexus, a leader in IVR telephony toolkits where he developed telephony solutions for a variety of end customers.

Denis initially joined Vocantas in a professional development services role, working directly with clients to satisfy their technical IVR solution requirements. As a result of his in-depth technical knowledge and expertise Denis was promoted to Senior Application Architect in 2009.  In this role Denis is responsible for the Company’s IVR solutions management, all professional service IVR projects, and he is the team lead for the Vocantas IVR development group.

Denis holds a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences with honors, specializing in software engineering from Carleton University.


Kevin Greco

Application Architect

Kevin Greco brings more than 20 years experience in software development to his Application Architect role at Vocantas. Kevin’s role is focused on designing and developing speech enabled IVR solutions, primarily for the medical industry. With more than 10 years experience designing and developing speech recognition IVR applications, Kevin’s expertise brings significant value to the team and to Vocantas customer solutions.

Prior to joining Vocantas, Kevin was Manager of Application Development for Voice Synergies.  Voice Synergies develops and hosts speech enabled IVR applications primarily focused on applications to help patients meet medication compliance.

Kevin was formerly a member of the Pronexus management team in the role of, Manager of Application Development.  In this role Kevin managed and lead development in the professional services division, delivering custom IVR solutions to meet customer requirements.

Kevin holds a diploma from the Algonquin College Computer Technology program.


Paul Turenne

Director of Solution Sales Utilities and Professional Services

Paul Turenne is Director of Solution Sales for Utilities and Professional Services at Vocantas.

Paul brings a successful 16 year track record in solution sales in the financial sector as well as IT management and document software to the Vocantas team. Paul’s focus in this role is on improving Vocantas’ visibility among North American-based utility companies.

Prior to joining Vocantas, Paul was an Account Manager for Harris Computer Services.

Paul holds a Business Administration Diploma from Algonquin College
